On Derivation
This I think mostly doesn’t need to be said, but it can help.
It is my understanding and belief that functional elements are outside the domain of copyright. Potentially within the realm of patent. I am not seeking any patents and generally don’t find them valuable. My copyright of this game covers the literal text and layout. At this time I have not made a decision about allowing the literal text to be used.
Functionally, most of this game is based on Alone Among the Stars, so if you don’t agree with my belief, then it’s still not mine to dictate.
The divisibility method, is functional, and not contained within my copyright. You do not need my permission to use it. If you want my permission, consider it granted. In so far as any text within Moons Among Us describes a functional thing, should that text be difficult to deviate from, then I consider it likewise outside my copyright. I doubt this is the case, because I speak weirdly, but do not feel encumbered by me in creating your own works.
These statements are my own, and pertain to Moons Among Us, they should not be taken as legal council, and are not intended to be applied more generally.
